Living on a Coupon: sharpie

I might be putting myself out there to get

laughed at, and just opened up the world

of blonde jokes!

Don't worry I am hearing them all from

my kids and husband as we speak!

I am a huge calendar person, with my crazy busy family it

is the best way to keep track of everything and everyone!

I use one to plan my monthly meal plan, one on my fridge that matches the one on the wall...that matches the one on my

computer that is synced to the one on each of my family members phones.

I WILL SCREAM IT OUT LOUD

I LOVE CALENDARS!!!

So, last month I receive a marker from

Sharpie and a coupon (of course)!

I thought to myself

"how cool, Sharpie makes dry erase markers now".

I of course put it right to work writting

the September calendar on the fridge....Looked great!

Until yesterday!.....

Yesterday I finally got around to changing the September

calendar to October (yes I know a whole week behind)!

Much to my surprise the

Black Rub-a-Dub Sharpie would not come off my board.

Usually a little water and a paper towel will do the trick,

not working, I grab an all-purpose cleaner (this should work)!

NO, still not coming off!

So, I get on the phone with Sharpie to see what the deal is,

Yes, I already feel stupid that I can't figure out how to opperate

a white board marker.

Here is the conversation had with Jill from Sharpie:

Jill: Thank you for calling Sharpie. How can I help you?

Me: I can't get your dry erase marker off my white board.

Jill: Dry erase marker?

Me: Yes, dry erase marker. Last month you sent my your new dry erase marker with a coupon; I used it and now it won't come off. Did I leave it on to long?

Jill: Ma'am we don't make dry erase markers!

Me: Yes you do! You sent me one! I am holding it right now.

Jill: Does it say Sharpie on it?

Me: Of course it does! I wouldn't call you if it wasn't yours!

Jill: Does it say anything else on it?

Me: It says Sharpie in big letter and next to that it

says Rub-a-Dub.

Jill: You mean Rub-a-Dub Laundary Marker?

Me: What?

Jill: Does it also say Laundary Marker under Rub-a-Dub?

Me: Yes it does; so I'm not crazy you do make dry erase markers?!

Jill: Ma'am, that pen is a Laundary Marker, it is

ultra-permanent. It is intended to not wash out

of clothing or cloth.

Me: WHY WOULD YOU WANT THAT TO HAPPEN?!

Jill: Ma'am we had many parents, mostly moms that "tag" their childrens clothes so they don't get lost at school.

Me: Thats a great idea! But why call it Rub-a-Dub?

Jill: I don't know Ma'am, I can get you our marketing team.

Me: No need for that; when I saw Rub-a-Dub I thought that meant it was a dry erase marker. I used it for just that and now my white board is ruined.

Jill: I'm sorry Ma'am, what would you like me to do?

Me: send me a coupon for a free white board!

Jill: Ma'am we don't have coupons for white boards. Is there anything else I can assist you with?

Me: Um....Yes, take Rub-a-Dub off your Laundry Marker.
