TARGET PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE JUST GOT JUICY!!!

THIS IS SUCH EXCITING NEWS!!

Remember the Price Match Guarantee Target had during the Holidays,
where there were price matching online competitors like Target.com, Amazon, Best Buy,
Toys R Us & Walmart.....

It was pretty amazing, but ended mid December.  It is back and back for GOOD!
Target as updated their Price Match Guarantee Policy to price match online competitors prices!

Not only are they going to price match current online prices.....
But, if you buy something from a Target store and find it cheaper up to a WEEK later
at Target.com or their list of online competitors they will refund you the difference!!
HOW COOL IS THAT?!

You can still use manufacture coupons & stack with store coupons just like we always have,
now we have a nice added bonus.
I hate when you buy something thinking it is a killer deal, only to see it go even cheaper the following week!

HERE IS WHAT THE POLICY STATES:

Price Match Guarantee

If you buy a qualifying item at a Target store then find the identical item for less in the following week’s Target weekly ad or within seven days at Target.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, BabiesRUs.com or in a competitor’s local printed ad, we’ll match the price. Price match may be requested at Guest Services prior to your purchase with proof of current lower price or by bringing in your original Target store receipt and proof of the current lower price.

Price Match Guarantee: the details

  •  The item must be the identical item, brand name, size, weight, color, quantity and model number.
  •  Limit of one competitor online price match per identical item, per guest.
  •  Price must be valid at the time the price match is requested.
  •  Retail price must be shown on the website or print ad. Online prices will be validated by a Target team member.
  •  Competitor online items must be in stock at the time a price match is requested.
  •  Competitor catalogs can be matched as long as the catalog displays a current date, retail price and meets all other competitor ad match qualifications.
  •  If item is not available in a Target store, a rain check will not be issued to match the online price or competitor’s print ad.
  •  We reserve the right to verify a competitor’s advertised price and the availability of the item.

Price Match Guarantee: exclusions

Competitor exclusions:
  •  Alaska and Hawaii Target stores are excluded from online competitor price matching.
  •  Items originally purchased at Target.com (for items purchased on Target.com, click here for policy: opens in a new window.).

Price exclusions:
  •  “Marketplace” prices:  Price matched items must be sold by Walmart.com, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, or BabiesRUs.com; prices from third party sellers on these websites will not be honored.
  •  Prices that only display on a website after guests log in.
  •  Clearance, closeout, damaged product, refurbished, open packages or liquidation sales.

What do you mean by local retail competitors?

This refers to retail stores located within the same market area as a particular Target store. Examples of a market area can be a city, a metropolitan area or a specific rural region.

What qualifies as proof of a price?

  •  For printed ads: please show us the entire printed advertisement. Photos, photocopies, or mobile phone versions (of the ad cannot be accepted as verification of a competitor’s printed ad.
  •  For online prices: please show us your mobile device or a printout from a qualifying competitor’s website or Target.com.  A Target team member will then verify the match using a Target device.

Can I use a coupon when price matching?

A guest can use coupons when price matching per Target's normal coupon policy. When the guest presents a coupon(s), these steps will be followed:
  •  Manufacturer coupons: manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.
  •  Target coupons: Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's price.
  •  Combining both Target and manufacturer coupons: the Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.
  •  Reminder: we accept one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item unless either coupon prohibits it. Target does not ad match a competitor’s coupon-required offers.

APPLY MY OVERAGE PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!

I want to give a huge thank you to Heidi Bobier - Social Media Coordinator at Albertsons
for allowing me to be apart of this amazing change!!

There has been several blogs with rumors of changes, and I am not about
to add to that madness!

I am only 1 of 4 blogs that have been given this information directly from Albertsons
with the promise that I would release it at a certain time.
You can rest assure that this information is the REAL DEAL!
Again, a huge thank you to Heidi for picking me to participate.

Normally when we here "Policy Change" we all cringe with fear!
Oh No, what now?

Don't be scared, I promise this is a good one!
I am so excited to have have been apart of this and get to share the news first hand!

Official Statement from Albertsons:
At Albertsons, we’re always looking for ways to help our customers save money, whether it’s through new, lower prices on produce or providing a coupon policy that allows our shoppers to stretch their dollar even further. We’re excited to offer some clarifications as to how coupons can be accepted at Albertsons locations in the Intermountain West Region, many of which address questions our cashiers receive everyday about Buy One Get One offers or how to redeem our popular Twice the Value coupons. We hope these changes help clarify how coupons will be accepted at all Albertsons Intermountain West locations, ultimately resulting in an easier, more efficient checkout process for our customers.

THIS NEW POLICY TAKES EFFECT TOMORROW 12/17!!

HERE ARE THE 3 LARGEST CHANGES YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Click Here to view and print the New Albertsons Coupon Policy!

  • ALBERTSONS WILL ALLOW OVERAGE!
    • Coupons that exceed the retail value of an item will have the remaining amount applied to the balance of the transaction.
    • In the event a transaction balance results in a "credit", additional items WILL be added/suggested to the order to utilize the remaining value of the coupon.
    • Albertsons will not provide any "cash back" on coupons; however we will provide full redemption value.
  • YOU CAN USE A MANUFACTURE COUPON WITH A B1G1 SALE!
    • Albertsons offers of Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) promotions in their weekly advertisement can be combined with Buy One, Get One Free manufacturer coupons to result in BOTH items being Free.
    • The items in the manufacturer coupon must exactly match our weekly advertisement offers and meet the redemption criteria.
  • TWICE THE VALUE COUPONS ARE CONSIDERED "STORE COUPONS"

    • Albertsons will accept ONE manufacturer coupon and ONE store coupon on the same qualifying item.
    • Twise the Value coupons are considered a Store Coupon!
    • Meaning, you can not use a store coupon + a manufacture coupon & Twice the Value coupon.  You will need to pick either store coupon + manufacture or Twice the value + manufacture!
Everything else in the policy is pretty much the same.  Just better verbage to keep everything clear!

I am so excited that Albertsons will be going back to how they opperated when I shopped there for TLC's Extreme Couponing!

REMEMBER: This new policy does not take effect until Saturday, December 17th!

I suggest you print this new policy out and have with you at the store.  Please be patient with your cashier, this is a new change and with new changes comes adjustment times!  We are all going to have to get use to this one and it will take your cashier's time to do the same!

*PLEASE NOTE:

THESE NEW CHANGES WILL BE ACTIVE FOR THE NEXT YEAR!

BE SURE TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL POLICY WITH YOU ALSO
AS IT STILL APPLIES AS WELL!

~The wyb 10 ads (ALBERSTONS) you have to buy 10 to get the price, if the ad states you have to buy x amount to get the price you have to do that or they WILL NOT match it.

~In ad coupons that are store specific they will accept but you have to hand over the in ad coupon to do it. So if you use it one day and decide later you want to get more you have to come up with another one of those coupons to price match it again. This is for all stores, Albertsons, FM, Wags, and Riteaid.  If the ad your matching has the word 'coupon' on it then thats what they will keep from you other wise its a normal PM.  They will accept target web coupons for $off, no final price required and you can use a manu with them. They WILL NOT accet printed from the internet inad coupons, they must be original.

~Target: Heres what i think will be good but i have a feelin they will change it when they realize what they are doing- the gift card promos (buy two of x and get a $ gc) they are taking the amount of the gc off of the items and then at the end of the transaction handing you a gc for the same amount. Ultimatly doubling the gc.  I asked them numerous ways and they answered with this each time.  I even said "so your going to basicly give me $10 to their $5 gc.." and i was told yes.

~They are NOT doubling any manu up to a dollar, the only doubling they are doing is with TTV's (albertsons doubler).  They just updated the registers with a key to calc the prices for them so they dont have to do it manually.  Same rules for TTV's apply. So when you hand them a manu and a TTV they hit a button on the register and type in the amount of the manu and the reg calcs it for them, so if you are one that always banked on the cashier who didnt know what they were doing and you got overage on TTV's its a very sad day for you.

~Their registers have % keys now so they will match % off ads, if this ad has the word 'coupon' on it, you have to give it to them.  They will take it like a reg manu, in other words you will not get it back.
~They are matching BOGO50% ads.
