MEET MARISSA, OWNER OF COUPON CONNECTION

I want to take a moment to introduce you all to Marissa Hammers, owner of Coupon Connection.  I met Marissa during my Couponing for a Cause event, when she read what I was doing she didn't hesitate to contact me and ask how she could help!

While I was excited to know that I had a coupon clipping service in Idaho that carries regional coupons (you know those high value ones some of us seem to miss out on)!  Yeah those ones!  I was realy excited to see that she happens to shop at Walmart very regularly and is an expert at putting Walmart's coupon policy to work for her and score killer deals!

So I asked her to join me, SHE SAID YES!

Marissa is going to be our Walmart Specialist.  Each week Marissa will be collecting the best deals to be had at Walmart; whether that is from Price matching competitors ads, stacking coupons or just simply taking advantage of Walmarts amazing rollback prices.  I will post these deals every week for you all to take advantage of.

Some of these deals may be using regional coupons that you didn't get, no worries!  Remember Marissa owns Coupon Connection, a coupon clipping service!  Even though she is located in Idaho, she carries all the regional high value coupons we all want!

Please give Marissa a warm welcome, I'm excited to have her aboard!  Click here to visit her page, say hi and don't forget to tell her Living on a Coupon set you her way!

Hello!
My name is Marissa and I own Coupon Connection here in Mountain Home, Idaho. I am 27 years old and have 2 kids a daughter who is 20 months old and my son is just 4 weeks old now. I grew up here mostly as my family was military, we moved to Mountain Home in 1995 and have been here since. I graduated from Mountain Home High School in 2002 and since then have taken about 2 years of college. I was undecided in a degree however my classes ranged from Pre-Law, to Marketing Management, as well as Human Resources Management.
I have been couponing for about 2 years now. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how much I have saved over the years. I started Coupon Connection in May 2011 for the simple reason that friends/family were asking for coupons and at one point a few stated they would pay for specific coupons if I had them. So the wheels started turning and here I am today with 3 suppliers for inserts that get shipped to me weekly. Due to the fact that my suppliers are in different regions of the country as a general rule the inserts I receive are higher in value then here in the Idaho area.
Never did I dream that a Coupon Clipping Service would grow so quickly but I am very grateful to all my fans on my page as well at the return customer base that has grown with me. I like to get to know people so I can help them out as much as possible. I guess you can say there is a ‘family’ relationship with myself and my fan base who are active users on my page.
I have a ‘Shop’ on my Coupon Connection page with many categories for Whole inserts as well as Clipped Coupons. I have a ton of Whole Inserts on Clearance right now and you can really get great deals. Check them out and I wish you all the best with your couponing adventures!
Let me know if I can help with anything or if you have questions about specific coupons!

  1. Hi Marissa,
It is wonderful to see all the accomplishments that you have achieved in the last 5 months. I have been couponing for about a year and a half myself. You might not realize this, but often times local businesses associate the actions of one couponer with all who coupon, even in the absence of association. I recently witnessed the mistreatment of another fellow military mother, whom you passive-aggressively attacked by accusations against them that were unfounded at the front of the store during checkout. Several associates believe that your previous employment there, your jealousy concerning the quality of service other couponers recieve compared to your own experiences, has led to a very distasteful view of you. I am sure you are pleasant and abundantly generous to many people, but perhaps you can extend this to fellow couponers as you may be doing yourself a disservice in the end. Many of us are military wives who donate vast amount of provisions to struggling families, churches, and even refugees brought here against their will by our government. If respect is given, it shall be returned....there is never a need to be aggressive in any form, even passively. With hope for a more pleasant experience on the next encounter, sincerely D.

  2. Thank you D for having the courage to stand up for what is right! It takes the guts to put yourself out there even when it is for the right reason. I myself have recently done this against a TV show that has brought me great success. Though there is a difference between right and wrong and we all need to choose the do the right. My blog wears the privileged badge of Coupon Integrity for a reason. I do not tolerate the misuse of coupons, our fellow couponers or stores associates! EVER! I have reached out to Marissa for a chance to explain/justify herself and the situation.
