There has been many rumors about what is going to happen to Albertsons and how it is going to change the way we coupon there!
- They have a new operating system (automatically adjust the value of your coupons)
- and now changes to how they are handling "doublers"
Of course there was going to be changes....With all the add coupon population, change was bound to happen!
Yes, I agree that Extreme Couponing is the reason for the new found interest in couponing.
To be honest I am very happy to see so many people trying to save their families money!
- That is why I agreed to be on the show
- That is why I answer every question email I receive
- That is why I respond to every post you put on my Fanpage
I WANT EVERYONE TO LEARN TO SHOP SMART & CORRECTLY!!
Unfortunately, to many people have lost their manners and are choosing to abuse the system!
I have said it before and I will say it again
COUPONING IS A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!
People are STILL taking their double coupons to Walmart, are still using the wrong coupons on the wrong items and are still trying to find ways to cheat the system!
This is why our stores have to get smarter about how they handle the added craze.
Really it won't matter what they do, there will always be the dishonest group that ruin the good things for others. Just like there will always be people that try to steal cars and break into homes no matter the security system, print fake money without a watermark and make fake checks they know are not good.
I personally, have been very happy with the new coupon policy changes, these changes have allowed everyone the opportunity to get in on the deal and is preventing "shelf clearer's" to slow down! If you follow the rules you will still get amazing deals!
Before these changes I would have never been able to walk in a store on a Tuesday and get the deals I was seeking and now I can!
Needless to say that makes me very happy!
Thank You Coupon Connections for sharing this email from Albertsons Corporate:
We’re really excited that so many shoppers are enthusiastic about our Twice the Value coupons at certain Albertsons IMW locations, and we’ve seen a significant increase in shoppers who are using them.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen many people taking advantage of this special offer, so we’ve decided to stop providing extra inserts at our store locations. As of July 17th, the only way to have access to the promotional inserts that include our Twice the Value coupons will be to purchase a Sunday newspaper. I want to make it clear that we’re still offering and honoring our Twice the Value coupons, but to limit the number of shoppers who are using more than three in any given shopping trip we will not have extra coupons at our store locations.
Our stores in Montana and Wyoming have a historically low redemption rate of our special Twice the Value coupons, so in these specific markets we’ve decided discontinue offering our special savings inserts in Sunday newspapers as well. Since shoppers in these stores don’t appear to be finding value in these coupons, we’ve decided to use this as an opportunity to try new ways to share savings and value with our customers.
I am very bummed for all of you that are in Montana and Wyoming! This is horrible news for you! I would bet they will be finding another way to bring you special offers.
As for the rest of us that do still get "doublers" consider yourselves very lucky that they did not take them away from us also!
I can not stress it enough:
PLEASE STOP TAKING YOUR ALBERTSONS DOUBLERS TO WALMART!!! REMEMBER, IF ALBERTSONS STOPS ISSUING DOUBLERS THERE WILL NOT BE DOUBLERS AT WALMART!!
You can read more about why I use my doublers at Albertsons here!
You can do the same thing and be prepared by getting the
EXTREME COUPONING PAPER DEAL!With this new change to how Doublers will be handle I am very happy that I get the EXTREME COUPONING PAPER DEAL and have 5 sets of Doublers sitting at my door on Sunday morning!!
Aren't you the one who actually went against the store coupon policy and used more double coupons than you are allowed to on the TLC show? Their coupon policy clearly states that you can only use three coupons per transaction and do three back to back transactions.
ReplyDeleteIf you are the one, I blame YOU for being on the show and showing folks how to NOT follow the coupon policy and ruin it for everyone.
Also it is CLEARLY against Walmart's coupon policy accept Albertsons Twice the Value coupons. Their policy reads (and I quote) "We DO NOT accept the following coupons:
ReplyDeleteCompetitors' coupons
Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer
Percentage off
Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price
Double- or triple-value coupons"
Notice last line -- Double or triple value coupons...they don't accept them.
No, actually we filmed in February when their policy only said you were allowed to use 3 doublers per transaction there was not a limit on transactions until their policy change in June. Albertsons was very sticted though our filming process and made sure we followed that rule.
ReplyDeleteAs for Walmarts policy, yes it does state that they do not accept double or triple coupons yet there are plenty walmart locations includimg the ones around me that are still taking them.
The policy of three back to back transactions happened in March, not June. It was after you filmed. But I love how Albertsons lets you do tons of transactions then they change their policy a few weeks after you film.
ReplyDeleteThat is a shame that Walmarts near you break their own coupon policy.
The Walmarts in Idaho and Oregon that are accepting The double value coupons are a "test market". Walmart often has test markets in diff. area's to see if a change in policy will work for the customer and the company or not. It is not uncommon.
ReplyDeleteYes I've been told specifically by both the Caldwell and ontario store that it was a test market. Jessica, thanks for all you do and your help. I think it would be foolish to think that some changes wouldn't happen with all the extra intrest. I PAY for my Sunday papers. I didn't even know until this last week that you could ask for them at the customer service counter:). I think some people need to chillax a little. Your not responsible for their changes and I've never seen you promoting unethical couponing. You've always encouraged people to follow the store rules. It's just that there has been a lot of changes in a small amount of time. It makes sense to me that some policies have changed since the show.
