HE'S RIGHT.....IT'S TIME......

Last night I heard a crash in our room, I convince my husband to go check it out because I though someone was breaking in.....

This is what he found....

OUR CONVERSATION:
Husband: honey, it's time you get rid of some clothes.
Me: No way, I wear everything in there.
Husband: really?  some of them have dust on them!
Me: You should change the air filter in the house.
Husband: No, you have to many clothes on this rod, it's time to clean it out.
Me: *rolling my eyes*
Husband: I won't fix the rod until you do!

Ok, I hate to admit it, but he is right.  I do have to many clothes and I don't wear them all!

My problem is that I can't get rid of clothes without thinking about how much money I spent on them.  They have been an investment for me; here is my theory:
Expensive Clothes = Better Quality + Better Fit, which = Longer wear!

Some of the clothes I still wear today I have had since I was 16
*Thank you Banana Republic & Ann Taylor for the quality!

I think I just need to realize that yes, they were expensive...but I have gotten a lot of life out of them and it is time to let them go.

Now that I think about it, this is brilliant....
if I don't have any clothes to wear I can go shopping right?!

  2. We have an agreement in our house, if a new article of clothing is bought, 2 in the closet have to go. I don't buy as much and what I do buy I really want.

  5. In fact you should go to the Ann Taylor Loft Facebook site and print out their $50/$100 coupon and go shopping tomorrow! (the only time the coupon is valid) If we're lucky the 60% off sale prices deal will still be in effect as well...

  7. There are some great places to donate to as well. There are so many people in need of help for even basic stuff right now it isn't funny. But then again, you could always tell your hubby that it isn't too many clothes... just not enough space and find out information on the closet organizer places here in the valley. They might give you too much room to where you still need to go shopping! :-)
